2016 Democratic National Convention

Hillary Clinton was officially announced as the Democratic nominee for president at the 2016 DNC in Philadelphia. Design played a prominent role in the historic occasion.

Over 20 unique placards and pole signs were designed and coordinated for distribution on the convention floor. The signage, tailored to each individual speaker onstage, is remembered as one of the most memorable celebrations of the Democratic party.

DNC attendees and delegates are known for their loud displays of democratic pride through various accessories and Americana-themed wares. To celebrate the occasion in the same vein, we debuted an oversized six-inch button that proudly declared, for the first time in history, “Madam President.” The product, initially sold at the convention, and later became available in our store. We adapted the typography for buttons gifted to members of our various coalitions and in graphics for our Facebook Live broadcast.
